Equalized Sensitivity and Equalized Max SPL

The traditional sensitivity figure and the maximum SPL calculated from it, are not very meaningful for products that are intended to be used with active processing.  This is especially true for many Fulcrum Acoustic products, because of the unique processing schemes we use.  In order to provide a more realistic comparison between various loudspeakers, we developed a new method of calculating and specifying sensitivity and maximum output.

The new method turns out to be quite handy for all types of loudspeakers, so we applied it to our entire product line.  You’ll find newly updated product specification sheets posted which include equalized sensitivity and max SPL, as well as a few other enhancements.  We’ve also created a spreadsheet, so that you can reproduce the calculations for other loudspeakers.
